Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences
The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences at Qatar University offers two undergraduate programs: B.Sc. in Biological Science and B.Sc. in Environmental Science in addition to two Graduate programs and a Certificate program in Environmental Science. Duties & Responsibilities
The Department of Biological and Environmental Sciences is seeking a highly motivated individual who has a M.Sc. degree in Biological Sciences. The successful candidate is expected to excel in teaching in the practical sessions of courses related to General Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Animal physiology. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in departmental committees and community services. The start date of the position is for Fall 2023.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate course laboratories in the area of expertise such as Introductory Biology, Cellular and Molecular biology, Genetics, Histology, Animal Physiology, and Animal Cell Culture.
Contribute to various committees within and outside of the department.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications
A Master (M.Sc.) degree in Biological Sciences or related fields.
A minimum teaching experience of 3 years for M.Sc. degree holders. Teaching experience of the practical parts of General Biology, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Genetics, Animal Physiology, Animal Cell Culture should be at a university level after receiving the highest degree.

Job Description
Prof. Ingyin Zaw, of the Division of Science (Physics) and the Center of Astro, Particle, and Planetary Physics (CAP3) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), seeks to recruit a postdoctoral associate to work in the field of extragalactic astronomy, specifically observations of active galactic nuclei. The successful applicant would be responsible for the analyzing and interpreting the latest multi wavelength (primary radio, X-ray, and optical) observations of these objects, as well as have the opportunity to develop their own projects in this field. In addition to working in a department with a significant number of PhD-level scientists, graduate students and undergraduate students working on a wide array of astronomical projects and have access to data collected by the SDSS-V project and sponsored time on observing facilities (e.g., the Las Cumbres Observatory, Green Bank Observatory, and Very Long Baseline Array).
Applicants must have a PhD in physics, astrophysics, astronomy or related field. Demonstrated experience in reducing radio, X-ray, and/or optical data is strongly preferred, as is experience with python / IDL / C / C++ programming languages. This is a 3 year position with a preferred start date no later than September 2023.

The Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to appoint two Post-Doctoral Associates, in the research group of Dr. Qingtao Chen. The proposed research will be interdisciplinary on the interactions between topology, geometry and physics. This research position is for two years with a possible extension to a third year.
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or Physics. Department Profile:
The Department of Humanities at Qatar University, Doha, invites applications for a full time position at the level of Teaching Assistant in GIS and RS to begin August 2022.
